The real determining factor is the driver. Most drivers break too late and not hard enough. That’s why a more aggressive initial bite can make stopping distance shorter. Hawk pads and slotted rotors 👍🏼

Drilled and slotted discs are more prone to cracking due to thermal shock IMHO, ie if you drive through a big puddle when your brake discs are very hot and get cooled very fast, If you don't use the vehicle much and get glazing on discs and pads, the slotted can make the discs land pads ast longer I also do believe

A mechanic told me that ould is good for new cars but when a bit older, they need something thicker, 10w-40 because the thin one tends to not consume, or leak but evaporate and therefore demand for more....true??

I also need to remove (on both sides), since I plan to replace the mirrors and a broken window glass on Front DS of our 2009 Nissan Sentra. Our car has a key lock only on the front DS. I think it would be so much better to have the same Key Lock on the Front PS, but I don't know if a new lock can be set for the same key we have. I would appreciate any opinion on this matter.

The infrared thermometer will read different values depending on the material you're measuring the temperature of, so this a potential source of error. A better test would be to sandwich a thermocouple between layers of tape.

I fixed my wife's car today thanks to this. Harbor Freight snap ring pliers did not do the job, but the ones from Lowe's did. Impact also a must for that 10mm bolt. I just couldn't pin the pulley down to do it any other way. Thanks a lot for this video!

Do you have a recommendation on drill size for drilling out the black plastic jet when installing a 255lph pump? Couldn't find the referenced support page.

I have always thought that drilled rotors provide better braking and hence a shorter braking distance. Nice to know now that they offer no braking benefit other than look. I also liked when he stated that slots on a rotor keep brake pads clean by offering scraping edges to remove dust and fades off the pads. I will consider slotted rotors for my vehicle from now on, thanks to this video.
